Sauna FAQs
All the things you’ve been wondering…
-
Wait at least 1-2 hours after eating before beginning an infrared sauna session. It is also important to hydrate with a minimum 8 oz of water right before your session to prepare for an increase in core body temperature.
-
Listen to your body and adjust based on what it’s telling you. If you feel flu-like symptoms, discontinue and let our staff know.
-
For the best-infrared sauna experience, wear something loose-fitting and light. This may vary from shorts and a light cotton shirt to your bathing suit, a towel, or nothing. You'll want maximum ventilation because the infrared sauna raises your core body temperature and produces a lot of sweat.
-
Infrared saunas run at a lower temperature than traditional saunas, so you might not sweat during your first few sessions. Everyone sweats differently. Sweat will increase with regular use.
-
Dry off with a towel and cool off naturally or with a shower (if you are floating after your sauna session.) It is also very important to rehydrate with 8 to 24 oz of water or electrolyte drink to replenish fluids.
-
We recommend a consecutive series of 3 saunas to kick-start your body’s detoxification process and to absorb the many benefits of infrared sauna therapy. Infrared Saunas are a vital wellness regimen, and for many, a program for enhanced health, well-being and reduced symptoms.
